Dr Bettina has been in practice for 20 years. During that time she has been an associate and a principal chiropractor with associates. She has, with her Chiropractor husband Jim, practiced in Country NSW, and the Northern Territory. Currently, they own a practice in inner Melbourne, where they have been for the last 10 years.
Dr Bettina is passionate about Chiropractic and its impact on greater health. She is particularly excited about communicating the chiropractic message and the ripple effect of doing that in an outstanding way. She is passionate about supporting her coaching clients to live their ideal life and to thrive in all areas of practice.
Bettina’s journey to chiropractic began as a client in country Victoria, where she grew up. Her parents and grandparents had been chiropractic clients, as were so many people she knew. In fact, it was many years later that she realized that Chiropractic and its enormous benefits were not familiar to everyone. When Bettina was 18 she travelled to Brazil and was shocked to learn that there was not even a word for chiropractic in the native tongue of Brazilian Portuguese!
After graduating from RMIT in 1994, Bettina travelled to practice in Darwin as an associate. Then she went on to purchase a practice in Dubbo, country NSW. After 6 years, her family moved back to Melbourne to be closer to other family. During this time, Bettina was involved in all levels of practice operations, management and team functions.
As a student Bettina worked as a CA and filing clerk for the school campus clinic. In her own practices, she has been the primary team recruitment officer and trainer and has written all the practice systems and procedures manuals to date. This gives her a unique understanding of all elements of a practice, a dimension that allows her to coach her clients and their teams, on all aspects of practice.
As a female chiropractor who has taken time to have a family, Bettina is able to give a perspective on balancing practice and home life. Bettina has had experience being a female chiropractor in all male chiropractic practices and also in towns where all the other chiropractors were male. In fact, at one stage she was the only female chiropractor west of the Blue Mountains in NSW!
Bettina has two wonderful sons who she considers her greatest teachers. She enjoys keeping fit and healthy and entertaining at home. She is an avid and voracious reader and has a great passion for personal growth.
