Would you like to enhance your team communication?
Would it be beneficial to be in rapport with your team?
Does it feel better when people communicate with you on your level?
Some Chiropractic teams are masterful when it comes to internal communication. Many successful teams know and use Gary Chapman’s principles ‘The Five Love languages” to heighten their communication and rapport with each other.
During a recent Powerful Practices International Mastermind workshop, we explored the principles of “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman and how they can be applied in practice as well as in personal life.
The five Love Languages are:
- Words of Affirmation (encouraging words, kind words, humble words).
- Quality Time (togetherness, quality conversations, quality activities).
- Receiving Gifts (gifts, money, gifts of self).
- Acts of Service (helping around, doing the little things).
- Physical Touch (high-five, pat on the back).
These ‘Love Languages’ can be applied in practice. By identifying what your team’s love languages are, you can communicate better with them.
By understanding what members of your team need to feel appreciated, you are sure to maintain a more happy, productive and fulfilling team.
You will find that you then communicate sincerely with them and reward them in a manner they will appreciate.
By understanding their languages, your reward and thanks will touch their heart. They will feel loved and appreciated!
If you are already using these principles, see if they can be improved. If not, your team can do this simple quiz at The 5 Love Languages website to discover what each members’ main love language is, then apply it.
